After a hot shower in the community bathhouse with private showers located near your tent, enjoy barbequing a hot meal on the gas grill. Relax in antique furnished sitting and dining areas, while still enjoying some the life’s most cherished amenities such as mini-fridges, microwaves and coffee pots with all the fixen’s for fresh coffee. This is your ultimate mountain escape, with the National Forest just steps from your cabin door.  If you are a skier, you will be closer than any other lodging in the area to Ski Apache.  If you are a biker, the area boasts some of the best mountain biking in New Mexico.  A hiker?  There are hundreds of trails just steps from your cabin door. 

Trail to the Forest

Our easy to follow trail takes you from your cabin door to the forest in 1 or 2 minutes. Explore the foundations of old west cabins with ghostly histories, and old silver and turquoise mines closed up long ago. The trail takes you to a pond where elk and wild mustangs water and sleep in the sun. Further up the trail, you will find springs and trails leading to Monjeau and other camp grounds. Mountain biking is permitted in this area as well.
