Dogs and Cats must never be left behind in the cabin while you are out unless they are in a locked kennel. Damage caused by your dog or cat will be billed to your room. Dogs and cats should be walked in designated areas only. At present the designated areas are those areas that have not been developed yet, and you may use these areas, or follow the trail to the National Forest.   More Information About Dogs.

Phones and Internet: With the prolific use of cell phones, management has decided not to install phones in the cabins. We have found that cell phone reception is adequate to exceptional in the canyon. Each cabin has wireless internet.

Smoking: Is not allowed anywhere on the grounds except in your closed car. A damage deposit of $100 will be added to your room bill if your or any of your guests are observed smoking anywhere except your automobile, and at NO time should a cigarette be extinguished on the grounds. Fire is always a concern in the forest, and Bottlehouse Cabins are particularly vulnerable.

Quiet Time: Is observed from 10:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. This means that loud music, loud talking, slamming of car doors, or any other obnoxious noise is seriously frowned upon. Sounds within the canyon carry, so don’t say anything you might regret!

Housekeeping: The Bottlehouse Cabins makes an appreciative attempt to be “green” whenever possible. Therefore, we do not clean the cabins except for weekly stays, and that would be after three days time. If you should run out of clean towels, or need another set of sheets, toilet paper, coffee filters, etc. please stop by the office and pick these items up. The trash cans are behind the office. Never leave food or trash, outside the cabin on your deck or in your car. Also do not leave an unattended BBQ pit. This is bear and lion country. If you see a bear, you will probably scare it more than it will scare you. Normally, they just pass through, and do so rather quickly. Do not feed it, or antagonize it. Calmly go inside, and it will probably go away shortly. Should you see a mountain lion, do not run. Screaming at it and making yourself seem large and aggressive will scare it. Pick up small children and hold them.

Keys: Keys should be kept with you for ingress and egress of your cabin. Please note that the key should be put in the mailbox at check out, if there is no one around to take the key from you. Loss of keys will result in a $25 charge.

Outdoor furniture should be kept on the deck under the porch roof. There is a fire ring on the property, and some firewood at the tipi. If the night (or day) is still and quiet and you are in the mood for a campfire, please check with the office to see if the conditions are right, and we will start the fire for you.

Hot Tub Policy

The hot tub is by reservation only.   Please call the front desk to make a reservation.  You may also make a reservation  for the tub when you make the reservation for the cabin.  The number to call for reservations is 575-937-0806.

The amount of time for use of the hot tub is 50 minutes.  Time begins on the hour and ends 50 minutes later with 10 minutes in between use.  During this time, the tub will be sanitized.  You should investigate the location of the tub in the daylight to see where it is and how to get down to it.  There is a flashlight in your cabin to use to negotiate the path after dark.

Please use only the blue or black towels designated for use at the hot tub, and not the monogrammed bath  towels.   Also, please try to use your towels more than one time.

Please shower before use and do not put oils, lotions or any fragrance in the tub, as it will clog the filter and make the water cloudy.

Please respect your neighbor during use of the tub by talking softly, and by not leaving anything behind after use of the tub. Do not adjust the temperature.

We try hard to make your experience in the mountains a beautiful memory.  If there is anything you need, or if the tub is not to your standards, then it is not up to our standards either.  Let us know what we can do to make your stay pleasant.
